As a social enterprise born to support aspiring and experienced performers, we want to see people developing their passions, finding new audiences and discovering exciting opportunities to generate an income.

We are also focused on providing opportunities related to the technical aspects of production and management of live performance, including set design, stage management and sound and light engineering.

Iconic was born in 2012: we saw a gap and a need in the performing arts industry for people to connect and share their talents.

It was time for venues and agents to meet artists and performers giving them a platform to perform locally and nationally.

Since 2012, our Iconic community has continued to grow, thanks to the help of over 50 volunteers who believed in our dream. They have given their support and acquired experience of business development, marketing, social media, business administration, research, website and artist liaison work.

In 2013 Iconic won the support of the Big Lottery Fund.

My aim is to ensure as a social enterprise we still remain profitable. This is vital so that we can continue to support the wider community through our projects.

Jami-Lei Slater

Volunteer Ambassador

I have experience in B2B marketing and a passion for drawing people’s attention to the great things in life. The part that first attracted me to Iconic was the background behind its creation as a social enterprise. Having enjoyed Performing Arts so much at college and with a family involved in the Arts, it definitely sparked a connection.

Jeanette Kamara

Volunteer Ambassador

My passion and enthusiasm for the performing arts led me to apply for the role of Volunteer Business Administrator at Iconic and I strive to make positive social change through my voluntary work. My experience of being the Vice President of my Student Union in the past has made me confident in my own abilities and I believe I will be able to contribute towards the organisation reaching its goals and targets. Being part of the team is helping me to learn, develop new skills and grow as a person. My sense of humour helps me to get on well with people, even those I meet for the first time.
